Graduation update from Mr. Byrd

Due to the extension of phase 2, Wilkes County Schools will have to re-visit tentative graduation dates and plans. The extension of phase 2 will not allow for graduations to take place on July 17 or 18. Once we learn more about options in phase 3, we will keep you informed via our district and high school websites and social media. WECHS Remote Learning

We are excited to announce that Wilkes Early College High School will move to Remote Learning on March 30th to allow students to continue learning beyond the walls of the classroom. The WECHS plans for Remote Learning days were developed to provide students with assignments for lost instructional time due to school closures.
This plan allows students to complete standards-based assignments from home while school is not in session. While we cannot replace the value of the teacher student interaction in the classroom, we are working to provide resources and activities that will help students remain engaged in learning while schools are closed.

Wilkes County School Update

Wilkes County Schools will be closed for students through May 15, 2020. Teachers are introducing remote learning options to keep students engaged. Our buildings are open and providing essential services such as our breakfast and lunch service and support for our families. We are in this together!

WCC class for all grades begin online March 23

All WCC college classes will begin online for grades 9-13th beginning next week until further notice. Students must check their WCC emails daily to correspond with their professors. If students need free internet here are some hot spots.
