This is Mrs. Belk with the announcements for September 21 - 25.
Yearbook’s are on sale now! They are $40 until January 5 when the price increases to $50. You can pay at school with cash or check, School Cash online, or at yearbookforever.com. If you wish to personalize your yearbook with your name or icons, you can only do this through yearbookforever.com.
Students participating in the Early College Cup Tournament for indoor soccer and Math Counts can pick up a field trip form in the office. These are due to Mrs. Belk by Friday, October 2nd.
Students may have the opportunity to attend the PBIS Reward Field Trip to Alpha and Omega Corn Maze on Friday, October 9th. Students must have a C or higher in high school and college classes, and no more than 7 absences by Friday, October 2nd. Students who do not qualify for the field trip will have a regular school day and attend all classes.
West Wilkes High School is offering a Driver Education course October 26th through November 10th. If you have a student that will be 14 1/2 years old by November 10th and is interested in the class, please have them stop by the office to receive a registration form. If you have any questions, you may call John Broome at 336-927-0105. Or you can visit the Wilkes County Schools website under the parents tab for more driver’s education information.
On Wednesday, we have our Whimsical Wednesday. Students wear a fall colored shirt.
On Friday, there is a required teacher workday. There is no high school for students. WCC classes are still in session. 11th, 12th, and 13th-grade students will have their college classes on this date. If a student relies on bus transportation and cannot attend WCC classes on this date, he or she must contact the instructor and stay current with all assignments.

El miércoles celebramos nuestro Miércoles Fantástico. Los estudiantes visten una camiseta de color otoñal.
El viernes es jornada laboral obligatoria para los docentes. No hay clases en la escuela secundaria. Las clases de WCC continúan con normalidad. Los estudiantes de 11.º, 12.º y 13.º grado tendrán sus clases universitarias ese día. Si un estudiante depende del transporte escolar y no puede asistir a las clases de WCC ese día, debe comunicarse con el profesor y mantenerse al día con todas las tareas.
