Science Olympiad
North Carolina Science Olympiad (NCSO) is a NC State program with a mission to attract and retain the pool of K-12 students pursuing science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) degrees and careers in North Carolina.
There is a Varsity and JV level of WECHS Science Olympiad. Any student is welcome to join the team, but placement depends on prior SciOly performance, placement tests, being able to work well with others, and attitude.
Students who participate and compete will be eligible for various colored graduation cords. Colors vary based on years of participation.
Meetings are on the 4th Thursday of each month, but will increase as we get closer to the competition in the spring.
