During the designated Open House time students will receive a field trip form to Rockin’ Jump in Greensboro. This needs to be completed and returned to school by Friday morning, August 11th. Parents will also be required to complete the online Rockin’ Jump wavier here.

Please fill this out as soon as possible. Pizza and drinks will be provided to students for lunch. Students can bring money to use in the arcade and purchase light snacks. 

 

WCC Schedule Changes-Any student who needs to make a change to their WCC schedule must make an appointment with Ms. Miranda no later than 12 pm, Wednesday, August 9th.

 

Community Stops-Community Stop days occur ONLY when traditional schools are not in session but WECHS is. Community Stops will be run for the first two weeks of school. Parents should review pick up stops and times to see which would work best for students. Buses are required to wait for 5 minutes and move on to the next stop. 

 

Den Days (Thursday, August 10th-Tuesday, August 15th)-Opening days of school are referred to as “Den Days.” All students are required to attend school Thursday, August 10th and Friday, August 11th. This time is to build school community and attend our school-wide field trip. No students will be allowed to leave campus on these days. Students will be counted absent if they are not at school. Our cafeteria will be serving breakfast and lunch (free to all students this year). 

 

High school classes will officially begin on Monday, August 14th. 

 

All students will be required to be at school on Tuesday, August 15th (regular school day) at 1:45 pm to kick off our school-wide fundraiser in the gym (including students who do not have high classes on this date). 

 

All WCC classes begin on Wednesday, August 16th.
