Good evening WECHS community. This is Ms. Sorel with a few announcements for the upcoming week. 

Winter Formal-A big thanks to the WECHS Student Council and PTO for a successful Winter Formal. We could not have done it without your creative ideas and support of snack item donations.

Congratulations-WECHS is excited to announce that Mrs. Amber Roark is a finalist for Wilkes County Schools Teacher of the Year! She is an amazing teacher who works hard every day for every student and we are fortunate to have her as part of our community. Congratulations!

Whimsical Wednesday-For the upcoming Whimsical Wednesday, we ask that students dress like a Super Villain. Students who participate can earn points for their Den.

Grade/Attendance-Just a reminder for parents to check PowerSchool for updates on student grades and attendance. These are monitored by Ms. Sorel every Wednesday, along with college grades. Good attendance is crucial at an early college due to college instructors having strict attendance policies. If your student is going to be absent from school, contacting high school and college instructors is part of our best practices for students. If your student is sick and needs to be out for a few days, please contact the Front Office so we can better support your student.
