Announcements-Week of Sept. 1st

Good evening WECHS community. This is Ms. Sorel with some announcements for the upcoming week.

No WECHS/WCC classes-Both the WECHS and WCC campuses will be closed on Monday, September 2nd to observe Labor Day. All high school classes will resume the regular schedule on Tuesday, September 3rd. There will be no WCC classes on September 3rd due to professional development for staff. WCC classes will resume on Wednesday, September 4th.

Whimsical Wednesday- For the upcoming Whimsical Wednesday, students are encouraged to wear Hawaiian shirts. Students will also earn points for their den for participating.

12th/13th Grade Academic Support-Starting Wednesday, September 4th, all 12th/13th graders will be required to complete 1 hour of Academic Support in the WCC Library. Students will sign in and out at the Academic Support Center instead of using their ID to check in for the hour. The list of students who complete their time will be shared with Ms. Sorel every Friday. Those who do not complete their required hour will be contacted and be required to make up that time. Ms. Sorel will send out an announcement if, for some reason, Academic Support is ever canceled.

Off-Campus Lunch- 12th/13th graders who completed their lunch form and have not been contacted through Remind by Ms. Sorel can begin off-campus lunch on Tuesday, September 3rd. 11th graders will have to wait until the first posted progress reports on Wednesday, September 11th. If they are in good standing they may turn in a signed form. Failure to maintain passing grades of a C in high school and WCC classes and poor attendance may revoke this privilege.

Graduate Family Information Night-Mrs. Martin will host a Graduate Family Information Night on Thursday, September 5th at 6 pm in The Pit. This meeting will cover information including deadlines for graduate items and expectations.

As always, thank you for your time and I hope you have a great evening.
