WECHS Inclement Weather Plan
In the case of inclement weather, all high school classes will follow the announced Wilkes County Schools weather schedule.
9th and 10th Grades
Follow the Wilkes County Schools weather schedule. If weather causes a morning delay or an early dismissal, grade-level teachers will decide how to modify the class period schedule. Students will need to check Moodle for college course assignments and if needed college classes will be rescheduled.
10th Grade students with permission to attend non-cohorted college class(s) will need to check the WCC emails and weather alerts. If students or parents/guardians feel conditions are unsafe, students should notify WECHS and their WCC instructors of their absence as soon as possible. Students are responsible for completing missed assignments. If Wilkes Community College is closed, many instructors will post assignments on Moodle. Students are responsible for completing all assignments during inclement weather.
